Right now, my blogger site is hosted by blogger, and has the blogspot term in the url. I'm using the site as a photoblog. What advantage would there be of having it hosted outside of blogger besides the ability to get rid of the 'blogspot' term in the url? Would there be any disadvantages?
What is the advantage of having an outside host for blogger?
There is theory that google ranks and checks blogger blogs more often, but other than that there is no downside. Outside hosts for blogs means you are not limited to their software or design. There are many better softwares for blogs and much better looking designs. The internet is the limit!
