Publishing blog externally using WordPress or Blogger?

I already have my own .com and I'm just looking to place a blog on there without all the extra, super-human coding. I've been searching through Blogger and Wordpress who claim to offer external publishing, but they don't give much info on how to do it.

How can I use either publisher to publish to my own site? Which is better to do so? Thanks!

Publishing blog externally using WordPress or Blogger?
First you need to get hosting for your domain, that is place to keep website. For wordpress it should support php and mysql. For blogger it does not matters.

Some hostings offer wordpress pre-installed. You can check

http://wordpress.org/hosting/ for best hosting options for them. You can install wordpress on other hosting providers as well, however its simpler without techie help to get it preinstalled.

For blogger... You would need a hosting with FTP account available. Blogger is simpler and less powerful in my opinion and personally I stick to wordpress.

This all goes only if you want to publish on your .com name. They both offer simpler options if you want to publish on .wordpress.org or .blogger.com respectively.
Reply:you have registered a domain name, but do you have a host?

you can either get a host ( maybe one that offers wordpress) and not involve wordpress.com at all.

or...

wordpress.com allows you to publish externally like you said, $10.00 per year. pretty good deal.

as explained here:
