Any blog experts, i'm after tips with blogger.com?
It seriously depends on the reader. First of all you need to have a target audience in mind, and then try to adapt to their needs.





A blog, well mine at any rate, consists of random stories about my charming self. Basically you have to think as follows: why would a complete stranger care about what happens to you? Answer: a complete stranger doesn't care what happens to you.





So how do you make them relate to you?


1)Leave specifics out as much as possible (ie names of friends, acquaintances )


2)Try to engage them in your blog entries. After you blog about a certain topic ask them a question. Everyone likes to talk about themselves.


3) Try not to write overly long entries. People's attention span is extremely small, so it's very difficult to catch their attention


4) Don't whine, rant, ramble too much. Once or twice is acceptable, but bear in mind that strangers have very little sympathy for you.


5) Use proper spelling and grammar


6) Use an interesting writing style. I have personally found that a witty and humorous one suits me, and my readers seem to like that.


7) Try not to blog about over-used topics (i.e. vegetarianism, abortion, political correctness, etc), or if you really must do you best to make it different.





These are just a few, but you'll eventually find what works best for you.





Youtube videos: when you access one, there's a text saying embed this video into your site, copy and paste that code into your blog.


Don't go overboard with it, however. Youtube videos can take a long tie to load, which will bore visitors.

Reply:There's a massive amount of Blogg tutorials out there. Thousands in fact.
Reply:Interesting blogs would have traveling pictures or interesting pictures involving wordly images. What makes a blog more interesting is an advise column, such as this one. If you have classes to provide of interest such as yoga or meditative classes, or something isoteric OR ghost blogs, people would love them. Don't get me started on them Harry Potter blogs. You can be on it for days. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek have blogs too.





I prefer doing my blog on Myspace.com. I don't have much of anything interesting to say but over time, I'll think of something.

Reply:i don't blog so no tips. you can use the embed code on you tube, then just paste the code on your page someplace.


your using the embed code so it embeds the player on the page. your most likely going to want to see about your pages set up aka properties, and set it to overlay so you can conserve space. if it even allows you to control the blog like that.
Reply:I just started blogging there. Different blogs are interesting to different people. Me, I like to read blogs where people are brutally honest.
